Pulp Fiction Soundtrack episode of Hot Press Classics out now

In the latest episode of Hot Press Classics, Paul Nolan and acclaimed film writer Wayne Byrne discuss the era-defining soundtrack for Quentin Tarantino’s landmark crime drama Pulp Fiction, which is currently celebrating its 30^th anniversary.

In another mouthwatering episode, Nolan and Byrne discuss the brilliantly eclectic nature of soundtrack; how Tarantino defined cool in the ’90s; how he made tracks like ‘Misirlou’ into iconic hits; his reviving of legendary artists like Al Green, Dusty Springfield and Bobby Womack; and just why his use of rock and pop is as masterful as any director in film history.

Plus Paul reflects on his visit to Tarantino’s New Beverly cinema in Los Angeles, and Wayne discusses Reservoir Dogs star Steve Buscemi’s forward to his book on cult indie filmmaker Tom DiCillo.

Rounding out the episode are a couple of special interviews. First, we hear from Stranger Things star –and daughter of Uma Thurman – Maya Hawke, who discusses her appearance in Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, and first seeing Pulp Fiction in Tarantino’s home cinema.
