New Belfast record label Confused Panda sign their first artist
Confused Panda Records say they take inspiration from other labels like XL and Domino
A new record label from Belfast, Confused Panda, has signed their first artist, Wild Valentine.
Wild Valentine is releasing their debut single, 'Electric Eyes, ' on August 13, alongside a music video.
"Recorded in a bedroom attic space in Belfast, the single blends alt-pop and darkwave influences with atmospheric soundscapes. Fans of Charli XCX, Future Islands and Depeche Mode will find themselves drawn into Wild Valentine’s sonic world, "said Confused Panda.
"This debut is not just a track, it’s a boundary. A deliberate rejection of the hyper-visibility that has come to define a generation in favour of mood and meaning. Follow the art, not the artist."
Wild Valentine is a young alt-pop artist and songwriter from Belfast. The team at Confused Panda praises the artist for their music first approach.
"No interviews, no selfies... just songs. At a time when artists are expected to be a professional brand and encouraged to share every aspect of their life online, Wild Valentine wants the focus on the art, not the artist," the record label added.
The single will be released on Spotify and other streaming platforms.
